Marshall, co-inventor of FT-ICR, will speak on Feb. 23

On February 23, 2017, Dr. Alan G. Marshall of Florida State University will visit the UNCG Center for Translational Biomedical Research.

The Robert O. Lawton Distinguished Professor is an analytical chemist who co-invented the technique known as Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance (FT-ICR) mass spectrometry.

At 3 p.m., Dr. Marshall will give a lecture, entitled “Ultrahigh Resolution Mass Spectrometry: Extending the Size and Detail of Biomolecule Structure Analysis,” to the NC Research Campus.

The following day, Dr. Marshall will visit the UNCG campus and its Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. He will conduct a second lecture there.
